I just wanted to send you a quick note to say thanks for the training. I really enjoyed the class and it brought some things home for me that I have been neglecting. I have a 5 year old and a 7 month old and just the thought of something happening around them and me not being able to react properly makes me emotional. I have already started gearing my wife up to do some impromptu training this weekend so that she might understand the mind set necessary in a violent situation and how she needs to act properly.

You will be glad to note that I use my new learned technique to take off my seat belt every time now as I truly believe in memorized motor skills.

As the new Chief of Police at the University of Scranton I was tasked with transitioning the Department of Public Safety to an armed University Police force. The University needed to be assured that every University Officer's training would exceed what is typically required. Each officer had already completed the 80 hours of firearms training at the Police Academy and finding a qualified instructor was critical. Many local instructors were willing and capable but did not meet the qualifications that the University was requiring.

Our search brought us to Argive Defense Systems and President Robert Desrosiers. Bob met with us and immediately put together the comprehensive program that we were looking for. Argive Defense Systems also met all the requirements that our insurance carriers and attorneys required.

Argive Defense Systems created an absolutely dynamic three day program that began with the basic nomenclature of a firearm, included the fundamentals of shooting, and then progressed through more advanced concepts such as building searches and advanced police tactics. Bob Desrosiers is one of the most qualified and best instructors I have trained with. Bob maintained absolute discipline on the range. The training was challenging and kept officers engaged. Bob Desrosiers' extensive experience as a police firearms instructor was apparent. I have been a law enforcement officer for over 24 years. Our agency was introduced to concepts and tactics that were new to all of us. Every University Office agreed that the training was excellent and exceeded all expectations.

Our agency will continue our firearms training with Argive Defense Systems. I would highly recommend them to any police administrator or police officer interested in improving their skills, tactics or interested in continuing in their own professional development.

For the last 15 years I have attended required professional certification and recurrent training. I was very impressed by the depth of material, level of professionalism, personal dedication, and just plain patience on the part of Mr. Desrosiers. The course was a terrific value in terms of the material covered and the cost. Finally, I have to admit that it was a lot of fun too!

What I appreciated the most from working with you was how you had set the high expectations for the live fire drills. You asked me to visualize myself in different situations, set the expectation for the live fire drill, and allowed me to execute those drills in a safe and well supervised manner...

You have a gift of making a person mentally ready to handle a firearm in an unfamiliar situation. By taking the person out of their comfort zone, especially with requiring the blanks in every magazine, allowing her to safely execute a drill, and give the immediate feedback, makes your teaching skills solid! (and that's coming from a veteran public school teacher!)

Your constructive criticism was never demeaning in any way which is what made the two jam-packed days go by effortlessly. I would not hesitate to take another handlers' course from you again...

I wish to thank and commend you on the 2 day AK-47 Class held during Spring 09. The class was excellent, content was complete and more than helped me become more proficient with the AK series platform. The class was well organized, the drills were relevent to the weapon and the 2nd day movement drills were very important as those are rarely allowed in most schools. I look forward to attending your next series of classes as they become scheduled. I have attended a few AR platform classes but have been looking for a AK class to round out my training profile, I believe I found what I was looking for. Excellent job and willl recommend anyone that wishes to upgrade thier skill levels to attend your classes. Keep up the good work.
